Job Summary

The BCBA is primarily responsible for assessments, ABA program design for skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans, parent training, and ongoing supervision and training of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).

Examples of duties include:

  • Development of treatment goals based on direct and indirect assessments
  • Development and analysis of various data collection methods
  • Initial and ongoing training to Behavior Technicians
  • Directly observe treatment implementation for potential program revision
  • Model and train Behavior Technicians to implement new programs or treatment protocols
  • Provide training and supervision to team members working toward their BCBA credential
  • Prepare quarterly progress reports as required by various funding sources
  • Utilize Proven Behavior Solutions’ methodologies and formatting to ensure continuity across the Proven Team

Examples of Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Attendance and instruction at regular staff meetings and company-wide training days
  • Completion of required service summary forms
  • Weekly submission of summary of ABA hours delivered to clients

BCBA Qualifications

  • Education: Masters and/or Doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis ( preferred) , Psychology, Special Education, or related field required.
  • Certification: Valid and current certification as a BCBA or BCBA-D
  • Work Experience: At least two years’ experience in ABA, strong supervisory skills, proven ability to communicate effectively, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to accept and provide regular feedback
  • Availability: Candidates must be available to work regularly during after-school hours as well as some evening and potentially weekend hours on a case-by-case basis
  • Licenses: Massachusetts LABA preferred
