This month’s employee spotlight is Elise Walton. Elise is a BCBA and Clinical Supervisor at Proven and has been with the company for one year.
When asked, “What exactly do you do around here?”, Elise responded, “I have the pleasure of working with our wonderful team of BCBA’s and Behavior Technicians assisting families and their children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am responsible for assessing our clients development abilities under the domains of communication, socialization and play skills, activities of daily living and behavior reduction. Based on the results of their assessment, I develop treatment and behavior intervention plans and provide ongoing supervision to the Behavior Technicians working 1:1 with our clients. I also work directly with families and caregivers on training them how to properly implement our practices to ensure generalization of skills and to answer any questions or concerns they may have regarding the progress of their child.”
Elise has over 10 years of experience working with children ranging from 2-22 and has been working in the field of ABA for 6 years. Her experience working with children includes roles as a Pre-School teacher, in home personal care taker for a child with Down Syndrome, and providing in-home behavioral therapy. Elise has provided direct ABA services and supervised clinical teams across various settings in Massachusetts, including home and center based services. Previously Elise has held positions in which she has trained RBTs on the implementation of home-based ABA services. Elise holds a Massachusetts state license as an Applied Behavior Analyst and meets the BACB Standards for Supervision Requirements to supervise BCaBAs, RBTs, and trainees seeking BCBA certification.
