Although we announced the exciting news of our Inc. 5000 list placement back in August, we’re excited to again share this news and give our followers a bit more information about the company, our two founders Scott and Lindsey Snider, and the honor of making this list. Below is the press release we sent to the media this week. Please feel free to share this post, thank you!

Proven Behavior Solutions is proud to announce that the company has made Inc. Magazine’s, Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing private companies in the country for 2020. The company placed number 862 overall, number 65 of all health companies in the nation (including health services, health tech, fitness, spas, etc.), and number 19 across all companies in Massachusetts. Proven is primarily an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and Speech and Language Therapy company comprised of highly experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and clinically-trained Advocates that work with individuals with autism. In addition to clinical services, the company offers Special Education Advocacy services to its clients and members of the community.

According to Inc. Magazine, “Not only have the companies on the 2020 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists as well. The 2020 Inc. 5000 achieved an incredible three-year average growth of over 500 percent, and a median rate of 165 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $209 billion in 2019, accounting for over 1 million jobs over the past three years.”

Proven operates out of Norwell, MA, where their clinical center and administrative headquarters are located. Many clients come to the center every day, while most others are seen in their homes throughout the South Shore and Upper Cape regions of MA. Center clients range in age from 18 months to 6 years and take part in the Foundations Program, which consists of ABA therapy, regular Speech and Language Therapy, and Special Education Advocacy support.

In an industry that feels as unregulated as the Wild West, Proven owners Scott (CEO) and Lindsey (COO) Snider have made it their first priority to operate with the core values of integrity, dignity, and humility. When asked their reason for starting the company, both Lindsey and Scott agree that Scott’s niece Taitum, who has autism, was a major inspiration from the start, and continues to inspire everything they do. “I can’t help but see my sister in every family we come in contact with and her daughter in every child we serve. The result is that all of our performance metrics, from clinical quality to staff training, are benchmarked against whether or not I would want our staff in my sister’s home and whether our team is good enough to help my niece.”

A drive to raise the bar, to ensure other companies are pushed to meet those high standards as well, is what keeps both of them going. “I saw first-hand how quality therapy could significantly improve the quality of life for the client as well as their family.” says Lindsey “I also saw how many providers were choosing to cut corners and/or just not delivering the therapy as it was intended (e.g., not providing the amount of therapy recommended in all the research, not training their clinicians adequately, and not vetting their employees) – and how the outcomes for those children were far worse. I wanted to be part of the solution and we wanted the kids in our community to have the ability to access the quality care that I’d seen provided elsewhere, but that seemed to be lacking in the South Shore of MA.”

Founded in 2015, Proven is an employee-centered company, so it’s no surprise that they received Boston Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” in both 2018 and 2019. And while they are proud of their rapid growth that earned the Inc. 5000 honors, they are committed to growing responsibly; never at the expense of employee welfare or quality of client services. As a husband and wife team, the two echo one another’s thoughts that working together has come easily, especially since they’re able to trust their partner explicitly, and their marriage was built on effective communication and respect, which transferred nicely to their working relationship. Scott, a former fighter pilot with the U.S. Air Force, and Lindsey, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with years of experience working in ABA all over the world, both bring unique experience to the table.

Scott, “I can still remember that initial phone call from our first client back in February 2016. Lindsey was running downstairs in our small split-level home to take the call as I frantically rushed to corral and keep quiet our 3- and 5-year-old kids. Our office was the kitchen table, a printer on a side-table, and a whiteboard leaning against a wall in our living room. We had one employee at the time, Shannon Gilbert, who took a risk on us and has stayed by our side ever since.”

Fast forward now four and a half years, Lindsey and Scott lead a growing team of over 90 employees operating across Southeast Massachusetts. The company has directly helped close to 100 children with autism and their families, some who have been with Proven for years, as well as numerous general and special education classrooms and nonprofits across the region with financial support. Along the way, Proven has created an organization that sets the benchmark for clinical quality in the region, a team that people want to be a part of, and a vehicle to help improve the lives of everyone in our community, not just those with disabilities.

Proven Behavior Solutions is a group of specialized professionals committed to improving the lives of children and adolescents affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the South Shore and Upper Cape Cod regions of Massachusetts.
